Frankoski, Columbia upend Harvard 78-63

NEW YORK (AP) Harvard's status as the lone unbeaten team in Ivy League play lasted less than 24 hours. The Crimson fell 78-63 to Columbia on Sunday in a game rescheduled from Saturday night because of the storm that hit the Northeast.

Steve Frankoski scored 20 of his 27 points in the first half and Maodo Lo sparked the Lions (10-10, 2-4) at the start of the second as they defeated Harvard for the first time in eight meetings.

Princeton's loss Saturday night to Yale gave the Crimson (13-7, 5-1) an edge in the standings, but they couldn't contain Frankoski in the first half as Columbia took a 38-34 lead.

Lo had three baskets and two assists as the Lions increased their lead to 48-38 in the opening 3:04 of the second half.

Wesley Saunders led Harvard with 27 points. He made 8 of 11 shots, but his teammates made 10 of 31.
