George Mason beats Drexel 60-54 to advance in CAA

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Sherrod Wright scored 23 points to lead George Mason to a 60-54 win over Drexel on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

Bryon Allen finished with 16 points and six steals for the Patriots (18-13), who will play Northeastern in the semifinals on Sunday. Vertrail Vaughns scored 10 points.

Wright, who had six rebounds, shot 6 of 12 from the floor for George Mason, which snapped a two-game losing streak. He also made 11 of his 12 free throw attempts.
