LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Nathan Sobey didn't expect to see his parents in the stands for his final home game. But with no warning, Peter and Kerrie Sobey flew 27 hours from Australia and knocked on his apartment door to surprise him Thursday night. On Saturday, their son scored a career-high 33 points to lead Wyoming to an 83-75 victory over Colorado State.
"It just got me so much more excited than I already was, playing with these guys in the Double-A for one last time," said Sobey, who was 11 of 22 on senior day. "What better way to end it than with a team that's been through a lot this year and a team that's so close together?"
Josh Adams had 22 points along with career highs of eight rebounds and seven assists while Derek Cooke Jr. added 14 points for Wyoming (18-13, 9-9 Mountain West). The win ended a four-game slide for the Cowboys - a skid that began after Larry Nance Jr. was lost with a torn ACL.
