Savannah State holds off Bethune-Cookman 58-49

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) Terel Hall scored 14 points and Savannah State beat Bethune-Cookman 58-49 on Wednesday night.

The Tigers (8-19, 4-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) scored 26 points off 18 turnovers and also had the advantage in the paint, outscoring the Wildcats 32-20. Savannah State shot only 40.8 percent but that was better than Bethune-Cookman's 34.1.

Ricky Johnson led Bethune-Cookman (10-18, 6-7) with 19 points and Brandon Stewart with 10. Travis Elliott grabbed 11 rebounds.
