Colgate survives 41-39 shootout over Fordham

NEW YORK (AP) Jordan McCord rushed for 3 touchdowns and Gavin McCarney accounted for two as Colgate edged Fordham 41-39 Saturday.

Each team scored 20 fourth-quarter points.

For Colgate (8-3, 6-0), which already clinched the Patriot League championship, McCord gained 141 yards and ran for three touchdowns. McCarney (12 of 20 passing, 212 yards) threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Ryne Morrison to regain the lead for good, 21-16. McCarney also rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown.
