Jackson State Tigers (3-8)


Grambling leads SWAC postseason awards

(STATS) - Having swept into the SWAC Championship Game without a conference loss, Grambling State collected the biggest haul of postseason awards Thursday.

The Tigers earned nine All-SWAC first-team selections and three of the five individual awards with quarterback DeVante Kincade (offensive player of the year), defensive tackle Donovan McCray (defensive player of the year) and Broderick Fobbs (coach of the year).

Prairie View A&M wide receiver and return specialist Joshua Simmons was named the SWAC's newcomer of the year and Alabama A&M running back Jordan Bentley was the freshman of the year.
