Wasilewski leads Maine past Rhode Island 55-6

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) Marcus Wasilewski threw four touchdown passes, Nigel Jones scored twice on the ground, and Maine blasted to a 34-6 halftime lead and never looked back in a 55-6 dismantling of winless Rhode Island on Saturday in both teams' season finale.

Damarr Aultman returned a kickoff 94 yards to give Maine a 28-6 lead in the second quarter after Rhode Island's Bob Bentsen scored on a 2-yard run.

Maine accumulated 565 yards of total offense to 228 for Rhode Island (0-11, 0-8 Colonial Athletic Association).
