Analysis: The deal with the All-Pro receiver broke a stalemate that lasted months, and ended about an hour before the Wednesday deadline to get a multiyear deal done. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been announced, provided the terms to The Associated Press. The contract includes $45 million guaranteed for last year's NFL leader in touchdowns receiving.
|July 13 12:33 PM PT1:33 PM MT2:33 PM CT3:33 PM ET19:33 GMT3:33 AM 北京时间12:33 PM MST2:33 PM EST2:33 PM CT23:33 UAE15:33 ET18:33 - Bryant is sending another signal that he won't play without a long-term contract. The receiver posted a message on Twitter to Dallas fans Monday, apologizing while saying he "will not be there" if he doesn't have a new deal by Wednesday's deadline. "As much as I love football ... I apologize (hash)cowboynation but I will not be there if no deal," wrote Bryant, who skipped offseason workouts and has said he would consider missing games.
Analysis: The All-Pro, who led the NFL with 16 touchdowns receiving last season, has a one-year offer of $12.8 million under the franchise tag. Because he hasn't signed a contract, Bryant can't be fined for missing training camp, which starts July 30. He would lose about $750,000 for each regular-season game he skipped.
|June 18 8:55 AM PT9:55 AM MT10:55 AM CT11:55 AM ET15:55 GMT11:55 PM 北京时间8:55 AM MST10:55 AM EST10:55 AM CT19:55 UAE11:55 ET14:55 - Bryant is with his Dallas Cowboys teammates for the last day of their minicamp. Bryant didn't practice Thursday since he still has not signed his franchise tender that would guarantee him $12.8 million this season.
Analysis: The All-Pro receiver sat with teammates in the stands at the Cowboys' stadium when coach Jason Garrett addressed the team before the final organized workout until training camp in California next month. He later tossed a football on the sideline.
|June 16 10:39 AM PT11:39 AM MT12:39 PM CT1:39 PM ET17:39 GMT1:39 AM 北京时间10:39 AM MST12:39 PM EST12:39 PM CT21:39 UAE13:39 ET16:39 - As expected, Bryant is a no-show for the start of the Dallas Cowboys mandatory offseason minicamp.
Analysis: Bryant has not signed his franchise tag, and there is only a month before the deadline for the Pro Bowl receiver to work out a long-term deal with the Cowboys or play this season for $12.8 million. Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Tuesday that Bryant is working hard on his own and that his absence isn't a unique situation for a player with the franchise tag.
|June 12 1:34 PM PT2:34 PM MT3:34 PM CT4:34 PM ET20:34 GMT4:34 AM 北京时间1:34 PM MST3:34 PM EST3:34 PM CT0:34 UAE (+1)16:34 ET19:34 - Reports are circulating that Bryant will skip the opener against the Giants if he doesn't have his contract situation resolved.
Analysis: Don't believe the hype, fantasy owners. Expect Bryant to be on the field to take advantage of a woeful New York defense and go ahead and start him.
|Mar. 2 11:28 AM PT12:28 PM MT1:28 PM CT2:28 PM ET19:28 GMT3:28 AM 北京时间12:28 PM MST2:28 PM EST1:28 PM CT23:28 UAE14:28 ET18:28 - Bryant will get four more months to work on a long-term deal with the Cowboys and make $12.8 million next year after the team used its franchise tag on the star wide receiver.
Analysis: Bryant led the NFL with a club-record 16 touchdowns in the final year of a rookie contract that paid $11.8 million over five years.
