Analysis: Griffin was 6 of 8 for 96 yards in four series. The 2011 Heisman Trophy winner also gained 36 yards on three carries, including a 22-yarder. Griffin remains the starter in Cleveland and figures to benefit when Josh Gordon eventually returns after his four-game suspension.

Analysis: Griffin started his brief night of work with a 49-yard deep ball to former quarterback Terrelle Pryor, the Browns' go-to receiver with the injured trio of Josh Gordon, Andrew Hawkins and first-round rookie Corey Coleman out. But a promising first drive into the red zone fizzled as defensive back Micah Hyde made a lunging interception of a Griffin pass down near the goal line.

Analysis: The announcement was expected after RG3 signed a two-year, $15 million free-agent contract with Cleveland during the offseason following his release from Washington. Jackson made it official on Monday. Griffin has had a strong training camp under Jackson, who is in his first season in Cleveland. Griffin beat out veteran Josh McCown, whose future with the team is uncertain. Jackson promised to name his starter before the exhibition opener Friday against Green Bay.

Analysis: The news bodes well for Griffin, as he received the bulk of the first-team snaps during OTAs and minicamp. The former NFL Rookie of the Year's main competition is from Josh McCown, with rookie Cody Kessler and Austin Davis longer shots in the QB derby.
|Apr. 6, 201612:02 PM PT1:02 PM MT2:02 PM CT3:02 PM ET19:02 GMT3:02 AM 北京时间12:02 PM MST2:02 PM EST2:02 PM CT23:02 UAE15:02 ET18:02 - Griffin says that while a few players decided to leave the Browns this offseason, the former Washington quarterback picked Cleveland as his new football home.
Analysis: RG3 said he had opportunities to sign with other organizations, but wanted to play for the Browns and their new head coach Hue Jackson. The Browns lost several starters in free agency.
|Mar. 24, 20168:52 AM PT9:52 AM MT10:52 AM CT11:52 AM ET15:52 GMT11:52 PM 北京时间8:52 AM MST10:52 AM EST9:52 AM CT19:52 UAE11:52 ET14:52 - The Browns have signed Griffin, who hasn't been the same since his dazzling rookie season in Washington.
Analysis: Griffin didn't play a snap in 2015 and was recently released by the Redskins. The Browns met with RG3 last week and will now give him a chance to resurrect his career and win their starting job. Cleveland has started 24 quarterbacks since 1999 and the team is expected to take one with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. That rookie - possibly California's Jared Goff or North Dakota State's Carson Wentz - will compete with Griffin.
|Mar. 19, 20162:25 PM PT3:25 PM MT4:25 PM CT5:25 PM ET21:25 GMT5:25 AM 北京时间2:25 PM MST4:25 PM EST3:25 PM CT1:25 UAE (+1)17:25 ET20:25 - Griffin, released by Washington earlier this month, visited the Browns last week. Griffin has a rocket arm and had sprinter's speed before suffering a serious knee injury. But new Cleveland coach Hue Jackson could be the right guy to maximize Griffin's potential.
Analysis: He led the Redskins to the NFC East title in 2012 and was NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year before sustaining a serious knee injury in the playoffs. Griffin's career steadily declined following the injury and he wasn't in uniform for any games in 2015 after losing his starting job to Kirk Cousins in training camp.
|Mar. 11, 201610:46 AM PT11:46 AM MT12:46 PM CT1:46 PM ET18:46 GMT2:46 AM 北京时间11:46 AM MST1:46 PM EST12:46 PM CT22:46 UAE13:46 ET17:46 - Griffin III is visiting with the New York Jets on Friday.
Analysis: Griffin was cut by the Washington Redskins on Monday, ending a tumultuous tenure in which he immediately became a star in 2012 before eventually spending all last season on the sideline because of injuries and inconsistency. The Jets' focus remains on re-signing Ryan Fitzpatrick, who set a franchise record with 31 touchdown passes last season, and the move to give Griffin a look is simply the team doing its due diligence.
|Mar. 7, 201612:13 PM PT1:13 PM MT2:13 PM CT3:13 PM ET20:13 GMT4:13 AM 北京时间1:13 PM MST3:13 PM EST2:13 PM CT0:13 UAE (+1)15:13 ET19:13 - Washington has released Robert Griffin III, four years after trading a bevy of draft picks to take the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback with the No. 2 overall choice. The NFC East champions announced the expected move Monday.
Analysis: Washington had until Wednesday to part ways with Griffin and prevent his 2016 contract for about $16 million from becoming guaranteed. Griffin becomes a free agent and can sign anywhere. NFL free agency begins Wednesday. The release closes the book on his tumultuous tenure in Washington, which included 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors but also injuries and clashes with coaches Mike Shanahan and Jay Gruden.

Analysis: In an interview Tuesday with the "Dan Sileo Show" on 1090 AM in San Diego, Allen replied "well, no" when asked whether he thinks Griffin will be with the Redskins next season. Said Allen: "I think we've heard from some teams that are interested, and I think he's going to have a choice of a couple teams that will let him excel in the future." The Redskins have until March 9 to cut him if they want to get his contract off the books for 2016.
