Analysis: Boss signed $9 million, three-year deal last offseason, but only had three catches for 65 yards before sustaining a season-ending concussion in Week 2 against Buffalo.

Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel announced the move Wednesday, along with the signing of former Rams linebacker Bryan Kehl to provide some depth on defense.
Analysis: Boss signed a $9 million, three-year contract in the offseason to provide Kansas City with a versatile tight end for quarterback Matt Cassel, particularly with Tony Moeaki coming off a torn left ACL. Boss caught three passes for 65 yards and a touchdown before getting hurt at Buffalo.
Sep. 16 11:10 AM PT12:10 PM MT1:10 PM CT2:10 PM ET18:10 GMT2:10 AM 北京时间11:10 AM MST1:10 PM EST1:10 PM CT22:10 UAE14:10 17:10 - Kansas City tight end Kevin Boss has taken a shot to the head following a second-quarter catch and will not return to Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
Analysis: After catching a 29-yard pass from Matt Cassel, Boss was falling down when Buffalo's Da'Norris Searcy's forearm hit the back of Boss' head. The receiver's head then hit the ground hard. Boss stayed down for a few minutes before walking off the field under his own power. He sat on the bench for a few minutes, and was then escorted off the field.
Mar. 17 2:54 PM PT3:54 PM MT4:54 PM CT5:54 PM ET21:54 GMT5:54 AM 北京时间2:54 PM MST4:54 PM EST3:54 PM CT1:54 UAE (+1)17:54 20:54 - One day after signing bruising running back Peyton Hillis, Kansas City added veteran tight end Kevin Boss, who spent last season with the AFC West rival Oakland Raiders.
Analysis: Boss said during a conference call with reporters Friday that he was intrigued by the young players on offense - among them running back Jamaal Charles and fellow tight end Tony Moeaki - along with a defense that emerged as one of the best in the AFC last season. Boss signed a $16 million, four-year deal with Oakland last summer, but he wasn't utilized as much as with the New York Giants. He only caught 28 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns.
