Analysis: Sanchez, who was acquired from the Eagles to compete for the starting quarterback job but was beaten out by second-year pro Trevor Siemian, and rookie Paxton Lynch will be Denver's backup. Sanchez will back up Dak Prescott.

Analysis: Sanchez came through with just the sort of performance he needed if he's going to beat out Trevor Siemian. He completed 10 of 13 passes in the first quarter and led a game-opening 76-yard touchdown drive. He was intercepted by Jerrell Freeman on the Broncos' second possession.
Aug. 8, 20167:59 AM PT8:59 AM MT9:59 AM CT10:59 AM ET14:59 GMT10:59 PM 北京时间7:59 AM MST9:59 AM EST9:59 AM CT18:59 UAE10:59 ET13:59 - Broncos coach Gary Kubiak announced that Sanchez will start Thursday's preseason opener at Chicago.
Analysis: The Broncos created a mild controversy by naming Sanchez and the unproven Trevor Siemian as co-No. 1s when they released their depth chart Monday. Kubiak told reporters the plan for Thursday is to have Sanchez play the first quarter, Siemian the second and rookie Paxton Lynch to play the entire second half. Sanchez still remains the favorite to start Week 1 for the defending Super Bowl champs.
May 16, 201612:19 PM PT1:19 PM MT2:19 PM CT3:19 PM ET19:19 GMT3:19 AM 北京时间12:19 PM MST2:19 PM EST2:19 PM CT23:19 UAE15:19 ET18:19 - Sanchez donned a black wrap on his surgically repaired left thumb and got in plenty of work Tuesday, defying the odds and enjoying some cachet among his teammates.
Analysis: Sanchez tore a thumb ligament on his non-throwing hand on May 13 and underwent surgery 48 hours later. He was originally expected to miss the start of organized team activities this week, which might have stalled his quest to win the starting job ahead of first-round draft pick Paxton Lynch and second-year pro Trevor Siemian. Instead, he led the way during individual and 7-on-7 drills before giving way to Lynch and Siemian during the team periods.
Mar. 11, 201610:24 AM PT11:24 AM MT12:24 PM CT1:24 PM ET18:24 GMT2:24 AM 北京时间11:24 AM MST1:24 PM EST12:24 PM CT22:24 UAE13:24 ET17:24 - Sanchez says he's the perfect player to follow Peyton Manning in Denver after replacing another QB icon, Brett Favre, in New York his rookie season.
Analysis: Sanchez said at his introductory news conference Monday that his aim is to start for the Broncos no matter which other quarterbacks general manager John Elway might bring in. Sanchez said he was shocked when the Broncos obtained him in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles, but that he's excited for the chance to start again.
