Analysis: Freeman has very little fantasy value at this point.
|Oct. 23 10:25 AM PT11:25 AM MT12:25 PM CT1:25 PM ET17:25 GMT1:25 AM 北京时间10:25 AM MST12:25 PM EST12:25 PM CT21:25 UAE13:25 ET15:25 - Freeman has a concussion and Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says he will likely turn the offense back over to Christian Ponder for the game against Green Bay on Sunday night.
Analysis: Frazier says Freeman showed up to the facility after his first start on Monday night with concussion-like symptoms. Freeman has to go through a battery of tests to get clearance to play again, but Frazier thinks that it will be very difficult for that to happen on a short week.
|Oct. 22 11:54 AM PT12:54 PM MT1:54 PM CT2:54 PM ET18:54 GMT2:54 AM 北京时间11:54 AM MST1:54 PM EST1:54 PM CT22:54 UAE14:54 ET16:54 - Freeman finished 20 of 53 for 190 yards and one INT in Monday's dismal 23-7 loss to the Giants in his Minnesota debut.
Analysis: Freeman frequently missed open receivers, and several of his throws sailed yards beyond his targets. Coach Leslie Frazier said he considered taking out Freeman, but that the score was close enough for him to stick with his new QB.
|Oct. 16 9:48 AM PT10:48 AM MT11:48 AM CT12:48 PM ET16:48 GMT12:48 AM 北京时间9:48 AM MST11:48 AM EST11:48 AM CT20:48 UAE12:48 ET15:48 - Freeman will be the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night against the New York Giants.
Analysis: Vikings coach Leslie Frazier made the announcement after practice Wednesday. Frazier said Christian Ponder will be the backup, not Matt Cassel. Freeman will be the third starter in the last four games for Minnesota, assuming he makes it through the week without problems. He was cut by Tampa Bay on Oct. 3 and signed by Minnesota five days later. The 25-year-old started 59 games over four-plus seasons with the Buccaneers.
|Oct. 7 10:45 AM PT11:45 AM MT12:45 PM CT1:45 PM ET17:45 GMT1:45 AM 北京时间10:45 AM MST12:45 PM EST12:45 PM CT21:45 UAE13:45 ET16:45 - Minnesota's starting quarterback this week will be Matt Cassel or Christian Ponder, not Freeman.
Analysis: The Vikings were finalizing Freeman's contract Monday. He didn't make it in time for practice but was scheduled to arrive later in the day. Coach Leslie Frazier said there's not enough time for Freeman to learn the offense and play this weekend at Carolina, but the Vikings didn't sign him just for depth. They're trying to save the season after losing their first three games.
|Oct. 6 8:02 PM PT9:02 PM MT10:02 PM CT11:02 PM ET3:02 GMT11:02 AM 北京时间8:02 PM MST10:02 PM EST10:02 PM CT7:02 UAE (+1)23:02 ET2:02 - Freeman is headed to Minnesota. Freeman's agent, Erik Burkhardt, revealed the move in a one-word tweet Sunday night, saying: "Vikings!!!"
Analysis: Freeman was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, a week after being benched in favor of rookie Mike Glennon. The winless Bucs made the latest move during their bye week after general manager Mark Dominik contacted every other team in the NFL in an unsuccessful attempt to trade Freeman, a 4,000-yard passer a year ago and the team's career leader with 1,144 completions and 80 touchdowns.
|Oct. 3 12:28 PM PT1:28 PM MT2:28 PM CT3:28 PM ET19:28 GMT3:28 AM 北京时间12:28 PM MST2:28 PM EST2:28 PM CT23:28 UAE15:28 ET18:28 - Freeman was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, a week after being benched in favor of rookie Mike Glennon.
Analysis: The winless Bucs made the move during their bye week after general manager Mark Dominik contacted every other team in the NFL in an unsuccessful attempt to trade Freeman, a 4,000-yard passer a year ago and the team's career leader with 1,144 completions and 80 touchdowns. Coach Greg Schiano benched Freeman after the 25-year-old completed just 45.7 percent of his passes and posted a league-low quarterback rating of 59.3 through three games, all losses.
|Sep. 30 8:25 PM PT9:25 PM MT10:25 PM CT11:25 PM ET3:25 GMT11:25 AM 北京时间8:25 PM MST10:25 PM EST10:25 PM CT7:25 UAE (+1)23:25 ET2:25 - Freeman says he has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and voluntarily entered the NFL substance abuse program more than a year ago after mistakenly taking a medication to treat the condition.
Analysis: Freeman said Monday night in a statement released by his agent that he has passed all 46 drug tests he's taken for the league since once using Ritalin instead of Adderall to treat ADHD. The fifth-year pro was benched last Wednesday after leading the Bucs to an 0-3 start that included a pair of losses on last-second field goals.
|Sep. 29 8:18 AM PT9:18 AM MT10:18 AM CT11:18 AM ET15:18 GMT11:18 PM 北京时间8:18 AM MST10:18 AM EST10:18 AM CT19:18 UAE11:18 ET14:18 - Freeman has gone from Tampa Bay's starting quarterback to inactive for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Analysis: The Buccaneers benched the fifth-year pro in favor of Mike Glennon, who's making his first NFL start. Freeman completed less than 48 percent of his passes during Tampa Bay's 0-3 start, and the Bucs have lost eight of nine overall dating to last season.
|Sep. 25 9:19 AM PT10:19 AM MT11:19 AM CT12:19 PM ET16:19 GMT12:19 AM 北京时间9:19 AM MST11:19 AM EST11:19 AM CT20:19 UAE12:19 ET15:19 - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have benched Freeman and replaced him with rookie Mike Glennon.
Analysis: The move Wednesday came two days after coach Greg Schiano insisted Freeman remained the starter because he gave the team the best chance to win. Freeman has completed just 45.7 percent of his passes for 571 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
|Sep. 23 10:17 AM PT11:17 AM MT12:17 PM CT1:17 PM ET17:17 GMT1:17 AM 北京时间10:17 AM MST12:17 PM EST12:17 PM CT21:17 UAE13:17 ET16:17 - Freeman completed 19 of 41 passes for 236 yards Sunday against the Pats.
Analysis: Despite another sub-par effort by Freeman, Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano said Freeman still gives the Bucs the best chance of winning.
|May 20 2:06 PM PT3:06 PM MT4:06 PM CT5:06 PM ET21:06 GMT5:06 AM 北京时间2:06 PM MST4:06 PM EST4:06 PM CT1:06 UAE (+1)17:06 ET20:06 - Freeman is back on the practice field, feeling good about himself and the future of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The fifth-year pro who's entering the final season of his contract said Monday that he still considers the Bucs his team to guide to the playoffs, despite the club's decision to draft another young quarterback to potentially take his place.
Analysis: Just importantly, coach Greg Schiano reiterated Freeman is his starter before making another attempt to dispel what he said is a misconception about his desire to increase competition at virtually every position, including quarterback. Freeman became Tampa Bay's first 4,000-yard passer a year ago, however his inconsistency contributed to a 7-9 finish and energized speculation about his future with the team.
