Analysis: Woodhead was hurt on the first drive of the Chargers' 22-10 win at Buffalo. He was stopped after a 1-yard gain by diving defensive tackle Kyle Williams. Williams hit Woodhead directly in the right ankle, which appeared to twist underneath the player. Woodhead has been a big contributor to the Chargers since he joined them before the 2013 season.

Woodhead signed a two-year contract when he joined the Chargers as an unrestricted free agent from New England in March 2013. His new contract runs through the 2016 season.
Analysis: Woodhead is coming off a career year. He had career highs of 76 catches (second on the team), 605 yards and six touchdowns. He ranked first among all running backs in touchdown catches and ranked second in receptions and yards receiving.
