AP Pro32 comments about Colts
NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Indianapolis Colts by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
Chris Berman (ESPN, 17) - Chuck Strong. Very strong.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 14) - The feel-good story of the year. Andrew Luck could lead them to the postseason.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 12)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 12) - Tremendous scene postgame with Chuck Pagano. Wow! This team is inspiring, having won four of last five for coach.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 13) - The win over the Dolphins was great, but not as inspiring as Chuck Pagano's locker room speech afterward. Battling cancer, the coach vows to dance at his daughters' weddings and win Super Bowls with the Colts. May he get to do it all.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 11) - The Colts have forced a league-low three turnovers this season, so rookie QB Andrew Luck is getting little help from the NFL's 18th ranked defense in building the 5-3 Colts into a surprising playoff contender.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 13) - The feel-good story of the year. Forget Andrew Luck. How about Chuck Pagano/Bruce Arians as midseason Coach of the Year?
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 13) - Driven to succeed by the courage of stricken coach Chuck Pagano.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 13) - The whole country is pulling for coach Pagano and the team is playing with great focus. Andrew Luck already looks like Peyton Manning. Watch out for the Colts.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 12) - The Colts are having a magical season, inspired by the fight of their head coach Chuck Pagano and a rookie QB who looks nothing like a rookie.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 11) - Should the coach of the year be Bruce Arians, or should it be Chuck Pagano?
