Analysis: The veteran center initially signed with Golden State in February, shortly after being bought out by Portland following a trade from Cleveland, where he spent his first 11 seasons. Varejao averaged 2.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 53 games with the Warriors and Cavaliers and appeared in 17 postseason games during Golden State's run to the NBA Finals.

Analysis: Yet after watching the replay, he understands it sure looked like he did it on purpose - which is what Henderson thought. Varejao said it looked worse than it was. Portland coach Terry Stotts on Monday called it a "dirty play." Then Tuesday, the NBA ruled it a Flagrant 1 foul on Varejao.

Analysis: The veteran center briefly landed in Portland as part of the three-team deal in which the Cavaliers obtained Channing Frye from Orlando. Varejao, averaging just 2.6 points in 31 games this season, would have cost $9.3 million towards the 2016-17 salary cap if he remained on the roster.
